Statistics behind the Little Rock NineThe Little Rock 'Nine' derived its name from the 9 student integrationists who advocated for their education as African Americans. These students, due to such strong opposition from segregationists, was blocked entry by Gov. Faubus who sent 270 National Guard members to block the doors. This arose such a problem that Pres.
